Windsor ComiCon Announces 2017 Beneficiary through the Kiwanis Club of Windsor.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is pleased to announce that the Kiwanis Club of Windsor (Kiwanis Sunshine Point Camp) has been selected as its official beneficiary for 2017. The Club will be presented with a monetary gift on the final day of the show (Sunday, August 13, 2017) while receiving the opportunity to use the event as a promotional platform to both gain and enhance community awareness of its programs and services.
“We are thrilled to have been selected as the official beneficiary for Windsor ComiCon,” says Kiwanis Club of Windsor President, Dan Inverarity. “It’s literally heroes helping heroes to benefit children in our community!”
To mark this occasion (and community partnership going forward), Kiwanis Sunshine Point Camp will begin hosting ComiCon Themed Events at every weekly camp during the Summer. “In addition to teaching kids that often never get a chance to go to camp, we will promote literacy through reading, acting and expressing themselves via ComiCon Themed Events and activities,” says Kiwanis Club of Windsor Treasurer, Pearl Davies.
