DWBIA TO LAUNCH WINDSOR COMICON EXPERIENCE
Windsorites to Sample Festive Super Hero Experience throughout the Downtown Core.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is pleased to announce that the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) will launch the Show’s first-ever experiential program entitled the Windsor ComiCon Experience.
The Windsor ComiCon Experience will yield a festival like atmosphere around non-traditional show hours through multi-site activations taking place at businesses within the downtown core (August 11-13, 2017).
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Con and we’re lining up a suite of opportunities that support local businesses and engage families,” says DWBIA Executive Director Debi Croucher. “The Con will spur numerous opportunities for secondary and tertiary business too.”
The DWBIA advocates for continuous improvement, promotes sustainable growth, cultivates and protects the uniqueness and creative spirit within our city centre. As a proponent for downtown revitalization, the DWBIA strives to create and nurture a downtown that defines the character of the Windsor region and actively works to invest in amenities that people want, need and use.
The DWBIA serves its membership by ensuring the long-term vitality of Downtown Windsor, through advocacy, economic development, business recruitment and retention, innovative marketing, and beautification and safety initiatives. It believes ComiCon brings an influx of people into the city centre and encourages the support of downtown merchants through this innovative, fun and exciting event.
The DWBIA will be activating on-site via downtown local businesses through the Night of Heroes, ComiCon After Dark Party and Volunteer Recognition Celebration events to name a few. Businesses who wish to learn more about the RFP process to potentially host events can contact Debi Croucher by email debi@downtownwindsor.ca or by phone 519.252.5723 as early as Monday, July 10, 2017.
“Windsor ComiCon is thrilled to welcome the DWBIA on board,” says General Manager, Colin Douglas. “Numerous opportunities will be created for residents and fans around Windsor ComiCon in the downtown core.“
The Windsor ComiCon Experience is presented by the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association.
