Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is please to announce its next comic guest for the 2018 season through Canadian artist and writer, Richard Comely.
Best known as the creator of Captain Canuck in 1975, Comely has written and illustrated over a dozen children’s books plus hundred’s of greeting cards while working on advertising pieces, newspapers and magazines for over 40 years. This includes dozens of articles for U.S. video production magazines, The Children’s Friend (LDS publication), The Calgary Sun, The Calgary Herald, The Toronto Star, Time Magazine and many other publications.
During his efforts, he worked as a publisher and editor for the weekly Westwind news in 1976 where he created and produced two syndicated newspaper comic strip features Trumpet and Wabbits.
